Omar R. Khan (born February 1977) is the Business & Football Administration Coordinator of the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers.[3]
Khan is the child of immigrant parents — his father is a native of India and his mother is from Honduras. He was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating 1994 from Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, he matriculated to Tulane University from which he earned a degree in Sports Management with a minor in Business Administration in 3½ years.
As a student, Khan worked in the Tulane football office filming practices and games and making travel arrangements. He filled a similar capacity during an internship with the New Orleans Saints while he was still in school. Once he graduated in 1997, he was brought on in a full-time role by the Saints. He worked his way up the ladder in New Orleans by doing anything that was asked of him.
In 2001 he was hired by the Steelers and has served as their chief contract negotiator and capologist, replacing Dan Ferens.[4] In that role he has helped to assemble two Super Bowl winners.[5]
